The Wide Slot Tension-Indicating Take-Up Frame is available immediately.
The Wide Slot Tension-Indicating Take-Up Frame adjusts conveyor belt tension by allowing controlled movement of the conveyor tail or take-up pulley. Its exclusive tension-indicating scale provides a consistent, real-time readout that removes guesswork from belt adjustment.
By helping operators avoid over- or under-tensioning, this take-up frame reduces the risk of belt slippage, accelerated component wear, and unplanned system shutdowns. The ability to set and verify belt tension using a defined measurement saves time and simplifies training for maintenance personnel.
“With standard take-up frames, since there’s no way to exactly measure tension, tensioning conveyor belts is more of an art than a science,” says Pat Kelley, Product Manager at PCI. “Because of this, maintenance personnel tend to over-tension conveyor belts, which causes excess force and increased component failures. By providing a real-time readout, the Wide Slot Tension-Indicating Take-Up Frame makes belt tensioning as easy as adjusting tension to a pre-determined measurement.”
The Wide Slot Tension-Indicating Take-Up Frame can be used in both compression and tension configurations. These units are designed to change configurations by reversing the arrangement of the tension-indicating components. The frame is available in both a standard wide slot and a Style B design.
